About Samuel Bride

As UMD Urgent Care medical director, Dr. Samuel Bride cares for patients and oversees five to ten staff members at Williamsburg and Long Island City facilities. Dr. Samuel Bride’s position builds on a background in health care extending more than two decades.

In the late 1990s, Dr. Bride was a lab research assistant with the Department of Urology/Surgery at Children’s Hospital Boston. During this time, he was a finalist for the American Academy of Pediatrics Basic Science Research Prize in his area of focus.

Dr. Bride subsequently served as a research assistant with the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Department of Neuroscience: Genetics and Aging Research Unit, and gained admission into the Boston University School of Medicine.

Completing his doctor of medicine in 2006, Dr. Bride was later inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society at Boston University. Providing care that makes a difference is a personal commitment, and he has traveled abroad to Gambia and Jordan to offer treatment to patients with limited resources. Dr. Bride has also presented at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference, Section on Urology.
